Description

There is a basic level class (every 2 months on Tuesdays & Thursdays) for beginners and a regular class (accepts new students at the beginning of the month on Mondays & Wednesdays) for students who have completed the basic yoga course at Viện Y Dược học dân tộc. Each course includes 16 classes (2 months), twice a week.

Students come to class to review old poses and learn new poses to practice at home for the remaining 5 days of the week. In addition to asanas (yoga postures), students will also be guided on how to develop healthy habits and learn about topics to improve their mental well-being. There will also be instruction on meditation (after the course) for those who practice regularly.

Benefits

Yoga helps to improve flexibility, increase strength, prevent disease, and reduce stress, leading to a more positive and peaceful state of mind. Regularly practicing asanas can help to gradually reduce and eliminate common ailments such as back pain, arthritis, joint pain, aches and pains, fatigue, insomnia, headaches, nervous system problems, and cardiovascular problems.

The “relaxation,” “corpse,” and “lotus” poses are practiced regularly to promote a love of life, a desire to serve, and a peaceful mind.
